What you'll do...

Manage freight flow by moving, scanning, and handling freight manually and/or with power equipment.

Maintain merchandise supply by replenishing pallets of merchandise onto/from racks or docks using warehouse systems or through verbal
instructions.

Provide basic maintenance to equipment (e.g., clean, inspect).

Ensure freight quality by processing stray and damaged cases; inspecting pallets, shrink wrap, and freight for damage; cutting shrink wrap as needed;
and maintaining records, logs, and forms.

Organize warehouse by using power equipment to remove pallets from pallet returns (e.g., pallet storage, trailers); up-stacking/down-stacking empty
pallets; and up-stacking/down-stacking freight.

Job Description:

Summary:

This role is responsible for conducting daily production tasks involving mixing, milling, molding, adhesive application, sanding, cutting, inspection, cleaning of the area, and cycle counts. Responsible for taking initiative and ownership of the process to ensure continuous production through troubleshooting and problem resolution. This is a day shift position. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Essential Functions:

Utilize proper operation of equipment to produce materials as specified, based on work instructions provided and handle all material in accordance with best practices and material handling process, as instructed.
Setup and disassemble equipment based on material requirements, as specified by work instructions, product requirements and deviations.
Maintain accuracy and quality in product output, in accordance with performance standards.
Perform quality inspection on all materials to ensure product quality standards are met, in accordance with product inspection methods.
Maintain a clean work environment and practice daily lean manufacturing methodology and activities.
Log, track, and/or input material specifications for various quality and reporting measures.
Transport materials to designated area with all required documentation included.
Operate pallet jacks, lifts and dollies to maneuver, control and transport materials safely and effectively, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Willing and able to become certified in fork lift operation
Willing and able to work with computers
Must be able to use a respirator due to use of chemicals

Position Summary

Under the immediate direction of supervisor, the Equipment Operator safely operates plant mobile heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, crane, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity.

Essential Functions

* Must be able to or willing to learn to operate all other mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane
* 2nd shift 1pm-11pm
* Assist in plant repairs and clean-up
* Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to shop personnel
* Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
* Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
* Perform duties with minimum supervision

Minimum Education and Experience

* High school diploma or GED equivalent required
* Prefer 3-5 years experience operating heavy mobile equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Must be able to read equipment operating manual
* Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report
* Must be able to communicate in English on radio or CB
* Possess basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reports
* Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
* Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
* Must be able to read and interpret gauges
* Proven ability to work in a TEAM environment

Physical Requirements

* Must have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls
* Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
* Must be able to limb on and off equipment to operate and service
* Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around mobile equipment
* Capable of lifting up to 50 lb
* Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day
* Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, and noisy conditions

Working Conditions

Larger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.

About the Role

Liquid Environmental Solutions is hiring a Plant Operator for our non-municipal wastewater treatment facility in Phoenix. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined and eager to work in an industrial environment focused on environmental safety and waste processing.

We intake truckloads of various types of non-hazardous wastewater and use advanced industrial equipment to process the material for safe disposal or recycling. Our plant runs on teamwork, mechanical precision, and safety-first thinking.

Location: 5159 W Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM and 2pm to 10pm shifts (Some Saturdays may be required)
Starting Pay: $22/hr+ (based on skills and experience)

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds. You don’t need prior wastewater experience to apply—but mechanical aptitude and industrial mindset are a must.

Minimum Qualifications (you should meet one or more of these):

* Operated equipment in manufacturing or production environments (e.g., food processing, plastics, packaging).
* Experience using tools, forklifts, or basic maintenance responsibilities.
* Construction or general labor background with exposure to piping, water systems, or valves.
* Willingness to work outdoors and around odors in hot, wet, or dirty conditions.

Preferred Experience (ideal candidates will have one or more of these):

* Plant Experience:

* Experience in non-municipal wastewater, grease trap/septic facilities, or chemical treatment plants
* Industrial plant work involving fluid handling, tank monitoring, or regulated waste

* Mechanical Skills:

* Hands-on work with DAF machines, centrifuges, filter presses, or other industrial systems
* Previous roles as a maintenance tech, auto/diesel mechanic, HVAC tech, stationary engineer, or similar
* Ability to perform basic diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and fluid system troubleshooting

Responsibilities

* Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial wastewater processing equipment
* Safely handle incoming loads and ensure proper tank assignment
* Clean and maintain processing areas and equipment
* Assist with preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
* Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment (training provided)
* Follow safety and compliance protocols at all times

**In this role, you will:**

+ Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams

**Required Qualifications:**

+ 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

+ 5+ years' experience in DevOps, with focus on Java based applications.

+ 3+ years' experience troubleshooting environments across the entire ecosystem (i.e. applications to infrastructure), identifying root cause, fixing, and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures.

+ 3+ years' experience supporting technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of lead architects, including largescale data processing.

+ 3+ years' hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins,Harness,GitLab CI, Bamboo, Azure DevOps).

+ 3+ years' experience with scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy).

+ 3+ years' experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

+ 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (Redhat OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP).

+ 3+ years' experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ Prior experience in an SRE role or similar capacity with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with automating manual tasks.

**Job Expectations:**

+ Share support responsibilities for critical applications and customer journeys including leading technical resolution of high priority incidents with cross-functional partners, remediation of issues, conducting of blameless postmortems, root cause analysis and introduce continuous improvement solving problems once and for all with the goal of no repeats. Perform trend analysis and taking proactive measures for frequently occurring issues.

+ Exposure to any SRE Concepts and Tools - especially Observability and Automation tools (Splunk, AppD, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic APM, Thousand Eyes, Ansible/AMA, ELK stack). Responsible for delivering SRE Initiatives (Problem Solutioning, Toil Reduction and Observability)

+ Good communication skills and ability to drive adoption of enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation improving availability in a multi-app ecosystem by evolving observability, monitoring, logging, synthetic monitoring, and chaos engineering.

+ Automate key metrics and IT Service Operations processes including customer impact, availability of critical business flows, SLO/SLI adherence, error tolerance, and reduce time for recovery. Evaluate SLAs, identify gaps, and make recommendations for meeting SLAs.

+ Work in shifts as situations demand & provide on-call support during weekend/holidays. Production & platform functions includes 24x7 standby support & taking responsibility to maintain high availability of systems & applications. Work from the office per company policy.

+ Drive production releases and review application deployments from quality/risk perspective. Work with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
