Pinal County is Proud to Offer a Summer Youth Internship Program
The Pinal County Summer Youth Internship is designed to teach youth in our community about county government and public sector careers, provide opportunities for youth to gain valuable real-world work experiences and career exploration opportunities, develop life skills, and foster stronger ties with the communities in which they live. The internship will begin on May 27th and last seven (7) weeks until July 11th, 2025.
This new and exciting program aims to inspire students to "Learn and Earn" through meaningful work in a realistic work environment by participating in department initiatives, projects, business planning, etc. Their work within the departments will be educational, challenging, and inspiring while allowing students to interact with dynamic working professionals in a positive work environment.
JOB SUMMARY
This is an Entry/Trainee position that performs a variety of tasks at the discretion of the department and works under close supervision. Positions at this level are assigned routine/standardized or recurring duties. Interns will be working in the Departments listed below in a Full-Time or Part-Time capacity at the location specified:
Board of Supervisors/Clerk of the Board (Florence)
Development Services (Florence, Full-Time)
Open Space, Trails & Regional Parks (Florence, Full-Time)
Economic and Workforce Development (Florence, Full-Time)
Housing Authority (Casa Grande, Full-Time or Part-Time)
Public Defender (Florence, Part-Time)
Superior Court (Florence)
Information Technology (Florence, Part-Time)
Elections (Florence, Full-Time or Part-Time)
Human Resources (Florence, Full-Time)
Facilities (Florence, Full-Time or Part-Time)
