**Role Summary/Purpose:**
The VP, Relationship Manager for the Ashley Licensee Network will serve as a senior leader responsible for managing and expanding Synchrony's partnership with Ashley's independently owned retail licensees. This leader will drive growth strategies, optimize program performance, and deepen strategic engagement through portfolio oversight, client advocacy, and business development. The role requires strong relationship management experience, financial acumen, and comfort navigating a complex, decentralized retail ecosystem.
This individual will collaborate closely with Ashley corporate leadership, internal cross-functional teams (Client Services, Risk, Marketing, Product, and Legal), and independent licensee owners to drive strategic initiatives, solve partner challenges, and grow Synchrony's footprint across underpenetrated markets. The ideal candidate is a commercially driven, data-oriented leader with a proactive and relationship-first mindset.

**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Lead strategic planning, engagement, and execution across the Ashley licensee portfolio, driving growth and profitability.
+ Cultivate relationships with key licensee partners and Ashley corporate leaders to align on business priorities and performance goals.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor, facilitating quarterly business reviews and communicating program performance insights and opportunities.
+ Develop and execute business development strategies to support fragmented market growth and expand Synchrony's presence across new dealers.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, ensure operational excellence, and deliver on partner expectations.
+ Leverage data and analytics to guide decision-making and uncover portfolio trends and risks.
+ Support partner onboarding, marketing integrations, and credit program adoption to drive penetration and volume growth.
+ Represent Synchrony's value proposition through consultative discussions, performance storytelling, and insight-driven recommendations.
+ Maintain adherence to internal program methodology and documentation standards.
+ Responsible for end-to-end ownership of assigned initiatives, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and execution.
+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree required.
+ 8-10+ years of experience in client relationship management, account leadership, or business development, ideally in financial services, retail, or technology.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex programs or client portfolios with cross-functional dependencies.
+ Demonstrated success building strategic relationships and delivering measurable outcomes in a fragmented or decentralized partner environment.
+ Strong understanding of retail credit, merchant economics, and consumer financing.
+ Ability to analyze business performance metrics, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
+ Strong presentation, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
+ Experience with financial planning, process governance, and change management is a plus.

**Grade/Level: 12**
The salary range for this position is **110,000.00 - 185,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
**Eligibility Requirements:**
+ You must be 18 years or older
+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
