Project Engineer Intern- Turbomachinery Control System

The Project Engineer Intern will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems through proactively asking questions, clearly communicating and collaborating internally with rest of the Project Execution team. In addition, the Project Engineer Intern is responsible for understanding our competitors and customers and showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes.

Compressor Controls Corporation is the world-wide leader for turbo-machinery controls, operating in the Oil & Gas market. The Project Engineer Intern executes engineering tasks and supports engineering team during project execution with focus on calculation documentation.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review, Develop, and Prepare project documentation following standards, practices, and use of engineering tools as recommended by governing department.

- Thermodynamic calculations for antisurge valve sizing, flow element calculations and adimensional Surge Limit Line calculations. Development of calculation methodology according to company design practices and usage of proprietary calculation tools.

- Communicate with third-party project representatives, and other company departments to meet assigned project requirements and schedule.

- Review system drawings.

- Assist in the development of control strategies and software requirements.

- Coordinate assigned project work with technical and administrative personnel.

- Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

+ Last Year of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.S.E. or M.S.E): Energy, Mechanical and Automation.

+ English B1-B2 and Italian C1-C2.

**Skills:**

- Thermodynamics and turbo-machinery are mandatory.

- Working knowledge of internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports, and documents. Ability to effectively present information to co- workers.

- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlations techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to perform engineering calculations using mathematical and software tools.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
