**The Role**

Lead a portion of a program effort to translate the client's business requirements into specific data systems, applications, or process designs and deliver innovative business consulting, business process design, systems integration, and support application design. Exercises latitude to translate the needs of the business into system capabilities in the form of system requirement specifications. Understand and support the data architecture with the ability and expertise to develop overall solutions to support the architectural direction. Perform research and development activities to support future IT business strategies.

**Location**

This is a Work From Home position available from any US-based location. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency/Green Card is required for consideration.

**The Main Responsibilities**

+ Works with the Technical Director, Technical Architect, and Product Management to create best-in-class IaaS, completing all requirements and meeting usability expectations

+ Develops and/or maintains a sustainable back-end framework and coordinates with other team members

+ Cross-functional partnering with Technology personnel to develop IaaS offerings of all modern operating systems.

+ Developing solutions across many disciplines and being responsible for producing and explaining solutions in the form of documented system requirements.

+ Estimates timeline for assigned projects and ensures that work is completed with the estimate given

+ Provides leadership in the development and implementation of short- and long-term technology plans and related policies and procedures

+ Takes a lead role in establishing and implementing standards that will facilitate a quality IT infrastructure for all clients

+ Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in hardware and kernel development.

+ Maintaining and resolving issues in a highly complex infrastructure architecture.

+ Troubleshooting and resolving automation exceptions and outages that affect production activities

+ Strong understanding of JIRA and GitHub and their use in the software design lifecycle.

+ Supporting various testing cycles including test automation.

+ Strong background in security remediation and audits, as well as documentation practices.

+ Strong system engineering (SRE) management and care of numerous infrastructure servers

**What We Look For in a Candidate**

+ 10+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience. 8+ years with Master's.

+ Significant software engineering experience with Linux, PXE, AWX, automation, Python, Ansible, JAVA, Groovy, Terraform, Go!, and general compute and networking skills.

+ Significant experience with MaaS (Metal as a Service) and Edge compute.

+ Significant experience deploying IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) workloads on Docker, Kubernetes, and Bare Metal.

+ Significant Cloud Platform technologies software development experience with Cloud-Init, AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

+ Significant experience with network monitoring, particularly Grafana and Prometheus.

+ Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries, relational and nonrelational data models, especially using PostgreSQL and Splunk.

+ Significant experience with integration technologies including RESTful Web Services, XML, and JSON.

**Compensation**

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

**$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY**

**$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI**

**$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA**
