We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, professional agility, and a high degree of initiative. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes by pursuing defect reductions

This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ, with responsibility for supporting operations in Lake Suzy, FL. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.

**What You Will Do**

+ Supplier Quality Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.

+ Problem Solving: Identify and resolve systemic, proactive, and reactive quality issues related to supplier performance using root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.

+ Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to address quality concerns and drive improvements.

+ Professional Agility: Adapt to changing priorities and work environments while maintaining a high level of performance and efficiency.

+ Initiative: Take proactive steps to enhance supplier performance and quality, including conducting audits, assessments, and implementing best practices.

+ Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and overall supply chain performance.

+ Compliance: Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulations, and RTX Corporation’s quality requirements.

+ Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of supplier performance, quality issues, and corrective actions.

**Qualifications You Must Have**

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

+ Proven experience in supplier quality, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.

+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies.

+ Willingness to travel as needed to conduct supplier audits, assessments, investigations.

**Qualifications We Prefer**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management

+ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other relevant certifications.

+ Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

+ Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality standards.

+ Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry supply chains and quality requirements.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
