**Summary**

We ae looking to hire an experienced critical infrastructure data center senior network engineer. This role is responsible for working on a team that supports operations at SRP like power generation and transmission. As a Senior Network Engineer on the High Security Operations Center (HSOC) team, you will be responsible for helping design, maintain, support, and life cycle existing and new network infrastructure devices that reside in a high security environment. The ideal candidate will have obtained a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certificate and have multiple years of experience trouble shooting, maintaining, and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco devices and networks.

**What You'll Do**

• Work within team members through hardware lifecycles and cutover migrations while minimizing impacts to production.

• Focus on leading the optimization of multi-site infrastructure redundancy that support the Generation Technology, Telecom, and other power system teams.

• Works within governance of infrastructure administration and provides peer review of work performed by the team, outside consultants, and third-party vendors.

• Prepares and conducts reports and presentations for all areas of network infrastructure that the team supports.

• Maintain and enhance cyber security frameworks and IT governance plans while remaining NERC-CIP compliant for all responsible network infrastructure areas.

• Create, review, and update process documents, network diagrams, and all other relevant documentation for compliance, knowledge transfer, and historical purposes.

• Recommends solutions to new and complex network problems, while developing innovative strategies to evaluate the potential impact of changes.

• Perform on-call duties on a 24/7 call-out rotation (extra pay and overtime apply).

• Diagnose and fix network technical issues on all levels of criticality and perform post issue root cause analysis if necessary.

• Supports a positive working environment through learning, educating, and collaborating with fellow team members and other SRP departments.

**What It Takes To Succeed**

• Prefer 10 years cumulative and progressive hands-on experience as a systems administrator, network engineer or similar in an enterprise network environment.

• Industry technical and network certifications recommended: CCNA and CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, or CCNP Security

• Have knowledge to implement, support, and trouble shoot IP network infrastructure technologies such as L2/L3 switching, network routing, network and server load balancing, and network security.

• Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, firewall configuration, NAT, virtual LAN, and ability to troubleshoot firewall traffic.

• Experience in load balancing, particularly with F5, is desirable.

• Demonstrate familiarity with network automation, monitoring tools, access control, DNS, network domains, security frameworks, and network architectures.

• Administration of multi-site environments running on Nexus data center switches with vPC redundancy.

• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision on network configuration tasks.

• Diagnose and resolve critical outages on operational technology networks under high pressure and during all hours of the day, if needed.

• Understand cyber security recovery processes in the event of compromise and execute associated disaster recovery procedures.

• Understanding of NERC-CIP compliance standards and associated requirements a plus.

• Ability to perform multiple assignments concurrently while under stress.

• Foster positive working relationships with all levels of employees at SRP and OT.

• Understand and learn other relevant technologies that are currently deployed on the HSOC networks.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and project lead skills. While showing a willingness to have a growth mindset toward advancing technical knowledge.

**Experience**

For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

**Education**

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

**Hybrid Workplace**

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
