Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently hiring a **Principal Project Management** professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Huntsville, Alabama.** This is an individual contributor role, a non-manager role with no direct reports.

This position is for the role of a Project Engineering Coordinator. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of staff within the Poland FMS Program. This Team Member will work side by side with the Program Management and Engineering Staff to oversee special projects and timely delivery Contract Requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations in the program area, ensuring effective execution of the strategic rhythm (can include staffing management, earned value performance, risk, issue, and opportunity management, etc.) and business processes/strategies to meet organizational objectives

+ Serves as liaison between program/project management and cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration between Engineering and Management Staff

+ Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

+ Prepare and review slide shows as required for NG Management

+ Develop mechanisms for monitoring Deliverable progress for intervention and problem solving with program managers and Technical Leads.

+ Supports special projects, as needed, to improve Program execution.

**Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:**

+ Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in project management or operations

+ Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

+ Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

+ Experience interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership

+ US Citizenship

+ Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

+ Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadership

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience utilizing digital tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.

+ Previous experience managing small projects to successful closure; balancing schedule and technical requirements & priorities to achieve desired outcome

+ Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally

+ Professional Management Certifications

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
