**Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
OPERATING ROOM/GI/PRE-POST Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room, GI rooms, PACU and Pre-Admit. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects. PRE-POST PERIOPERATIVE Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in PACU department and Pre-Admit. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

**Qualifications**
**Pre/Post- Circulator Requirements:**
+ Three years experience required in intra-operative setting including GI. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
+ Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
+ Current California RN License.
+ Current BLS, ACLS, PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.
**Preferred:**
+ Computer literacy preferred
+ One year recent acute care experience preferred
+ Bachelor degree in health related field preferred
**Pay Range**
$61.68 - $80.01 /hour
