**About the Role:**

As a **Designer/Drafter** , you will be integral to the development of structural and civil designs for power plant facilities. You will collaborate with structural engineers, taking field notes and conceptual ideas to create precise design drawings that contribute to the construction of critical infrastructure. This role is a great opportunity to apply your drafting skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ **Design Creation:** Collaborate with structural engineers to develop detailed drawings for power plant facilities, including steel layouts, platforms, roof framing, and bracing.

+ **Concrete Layouts:** Produce concrete design drawings such as slabs, foundations, and pads, with reinforcement details based on engineer calculations and sketches.

+ **Field Visits & Site Work:** Participate in site visits and surveys, collecting notes and information to create accurate, on-site designs.

+ **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other engineers and designers in the organization to create comprehensive design packages.

+ **Structural Detailing:** Provide accurate connection and bracing details for steel structures, as well as layouts for concrete structures.

+ **Documentation:** Assist in the documentation of design standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all deliverables.

+ **Travel:** Travel to SRP generating sites as needed to gather information, conduct site visits, and refine designs.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ **Experience:** 6+ years of experience in structural drafting and design, particularly with structural steel, concrete, and plant equipment foundations.

+ **Skills:** Strong knowledge of structural members, shapes, and detailing. Proficiency in using **Bentley Systems MicroStation Connect** for design work.

+ **Education:** While a degree is not required, a 2-year AA in a related field or equivalent practical experience in structural design is ideal.

+ **Additional Skills:** Ability to work with field notes, conceptual sketches, and engineer’s ideas to create detailed drawings. Familiarity with concrete layout and reinforcement detailing.

+ **Travel Requirements:** Ability to travel to SRP generating sites for fieldwork and site visits (Smith test required).

+ **Knowledge:** Experience with power generation processes and plant equipment is a plus, but not required.

**Pay Details:** $41.00 to $44.00 per hour
