Elastic Application Engineer

Our work depends on an Elastic Application Engineer joining our team to support the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to employ specified NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN).

HOW AN ELASTIC APPLICATION ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

● Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction

● Review, analyze and Tier III support for patches and updates, to include testing the baseline in the Engineering Operations Facility (EOF) prior to release to the RCCs.

● Develop Enterprise Technical Procedures (ETPs) with the directions to apply patches, upgrades and security configurations and/or updates to the baseline system in the EOF for testing IAW with the STIGs.

● Operational experience in implementation and sustainment of NetOps capabilities across all operational and strategic echelons in the LWN to include Joint components in support of the Army’s GNE/NSC. Experienced in systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and engineering.

● Coordinate, review and maintain system documentation.

●Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience.

● Security Clearance Level: Secret.

● Required Skills and Abilities: Elastic products expertise, knowledge, skills and certifications.

● Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Windows and Linux Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and current DISA’s hardening protocol.

● Location: On Customer Site.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $106,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
