**Where You Will Work **
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you will collaborate primarily virtually anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded based on business factors. Occasionally, you may be required to attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

**Description**
Change agent for driving adoption & implementation of health & safety best practices, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. Educates operations & maintenance global stakeholders at all levels on emerging trends, providing actionable insights and tools to support effective management of safety in the field.
Specifically responsible to drive the reduction of high-risk safety incidents across the global organization by managing a process that consistently identifies underlying root causes and influences top leaders of the company to adopt, implement and sustain strong corrective actions that prevent their recurrence.
+ Strategically manages and continually assesses organization safety challenges alongside company & external data sets to identify trends and gain valuable insights. Influences stakeholders at all levels providing actionable insights and access to tools to effectively manage safe production and to support the organization’s occupational health and safety management system.
+ Plans, engages appropriate stakeholders, and drives safety aspects of Operations/Maintenance “communities of practice” globally and effectively influences these groups to adopt best practices, take action on safety-related insights and implement global action items.
+ Creates and manages a process to ensure that the organization conducts quality and timely RCAs related to significant safety/health incidents: thorough, relevant, unbiased, accurate, and clearly communicated. Ensures transparent collaboration among investigation participants: line mgmt., safety professionals, subject matter experts, RCA experts, and others as appropriate. Reviews completed RCAs according to these criteria and acts to correct substandard work.
+ Facilitates incident reviews with GM panels and other senior leaders to achieve alignment on investigation outcomes, including clear and effective communication of RCA findings, alignment on the most important and relevant causal factors, and definition of impactful and sustainable corrective actions.
+ Regularly assesses the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) program, including continual improvement of processes, goals and objectives related to the success of this program in the elimination of reoccurring incidents.
+ Manages data systems related to RCA causes and action items. Drives reviews of incident causes over time and spanning operations to identify actionable patterns and trends in high-risk incidents.
+ Ensures that the organization has sufficient RCA experts to support the completion of high-quality RCAs. Supervises full-time RCA specialists and develops their skills through Individual Development Plans and the organization’s Career Development Plan; influences and guides site-based RCA experts and partners with their supervisors to build competency.
+ Provides governance for closure of action items related to significant events, and ongoing effectiveness checks to help operations leaders sustain corrective actions.
+ Regularly reports relevant data and analysis to senior leadership, communities of practice, and other stakeholders
+ Perform other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma/GED **and** thirteen (13) years of experience in Health & Safety or related mining operational/maintenance experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree **and** nine (9) years of experience in the areas of Health & Safety, Engineering, Process Improvement, or direct related technical experience.
+ Master’s degree **and** seven (7) years of experience in the areas of Health & Safety, Engineering, Process Improvement, or direct related technical experience.
+ Strong analytical & problem-solving skills (ability to quickly grasp problem, understand its complexities, analyzing the issue and identifying risk & break down complex problems)
+ Confident and effective communicator and presenter, including written and verbal skills, effective at all levels of the organization.
+ Proficient investigation skills
+ Provide leadership and work direction, and evaluate the performance of subordinate RCA staff
+ Ability to analyze information of considerable complexity and draw conclusions (interpret trends and patterns and prioritize responses)
+ Highly effective influencer, strong facilitator and mediator qualities (creating inclusive environment, open and transparent communications, stimulates conversations, sets guidelines, remains impartial, high-level of perceptiveness)
+ Strategic and tactical thinker with the ability to multitask and prioritize
+ Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively manage RCA program.
+ Ability to coach and influence leadership at all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to travel up to 30% based on business needs in the moment

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish)
+ RCA/Incident investigation background
+ Six Sigma experience or certification
+ Ability to analyze and use information gathered through Root Cause Analysis, 5-Whys Analysis, Risk Management Processes, and/or Equipment System Processes
+ Data Analytics/Data Mining Skills
+ Strong analytical, organizational and negotiation skills, as well as a high degree of initiative
+ Previous experience in a mining, metal manufacturing, heavy industrial or fabrication environment
+ Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA/other regulatory agency requirements
Criteria/Conditions:
+ Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.

**What We Offer You**
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$123,000** **-$172,000.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
