**Responsibilities**
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Radiation Therapist under the direction of a radiation oncologist performs a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation; constructs cerrobend blocks and executes dosimetry duties.
**Qualifications**
**Required Licensure:**
+ Current California license as a certified Radiologic Technologist
+ ARRT registration in radiotherapy
+ Current BLS Healthcare Provider American Heart Association
**Reuired:**
+ Successful completion of formal radiation therapy program
+ knowledge of: Anatomy and physiology, medical terminology related to, radiology, principles of operation and care of radiotherapy equipment, currently accepted radiotherapy procedures, radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public,film processing systems, mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment
+ computers with a background in Windows operating systems
**Preferred:**
California Fluoroscopy certification preferred
**Pay Range**
$65.36 - $85.21 /hour
