**Responsibilities**

**Job Summary:**

Administers radiation therapy treatments under the direction and approved treatment plans of a radiation therapy physician. Localizes patients on the simulator machine. Collects data needed by dosimetry for treatment planning. May perform dose calculations. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through adolescents through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

+ Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.

+ Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.

+ Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.

+ Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.

+ Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

+ Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures

+ Completes initial care within required time frames.

+ Performs subsequent care at required intervals.

+ Ensures physical care includes all pertinent body systems.

+ Ensures psycho-social care includes actual/potential needs.

+ Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into care.

+ Correctly differentiates between normal/abnormal findings.

+ Incorporates functional/developmental age into care: newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

+ Provides for the educaiton of the patient/family.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ California Board and National Board certified in Radiation Therapy.

+ CT CPRBLS;CT RTT;CT ARRT

+ Minimum one (1) year experience preferred.

**Pay Range**

$63.02- $72.70 /hour
