Recommends and enforces operating procedures. Represents the activity to the public, conducts surveys, reviews activity reports, and makes recommendations concerning revenue improvement. Instructs patrons of a recreational facility in horsemanship, applying knowledge of equestrian activities. Assists with individual rentals, boarding, group events such as pony circles, organized trail rides, youth horse camp, and special events. Promotes interest in programming by making presentations to units, schools, and interfacing with other recreational activities. Conducts riding lessons, organizes group events, and horse camps for children. May assist with feeding, care of horses, basic maintenance repairs of riding equipment, and trail rides. May operate a vehicle to deliver horses to special events. Monitors activities to determine budget process for financial accountability. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. HIGHLY PREFERRED: One (1) year or more experience in instructing riding skills in English and/or Western pleasure. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
