**Position Summary**

Work with various welding machines and equipment as a part of a welding assembly line. Operate welding equipment for end prep of pipe using techniques such as Stick, Mig, Wire, Air Arc, Trackwork, and Plasma

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**

+ Operates, preps, and sets various welding machines which includes Robot, NAP, and Cypress.

+ Works on will-call orders to layout specifications.

+ Handles pipes and materials weighing up to 50 lbs; at times lifting repetitively and/or shuffling materials down an assembly line onto a layout table, welding stand, or cart/dolly.

+ Performs air pressure test and visual inspections on welded piping to assure quality products.

+ Uses basic reading and writing skills to interpret layout plans and labels.

+ Works in a warehouse environment in hot and cold weather conditions, and with exposure to sparks and glares.

**Qualifications**

+ May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

+ Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position and at least 1 year of basic welding experience.

+ Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.

+ Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

**Job Description**

The Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) team in Chandler, Arizona is looking for highly motivated individuals to sustain, ramp, and transfer new technologies using state of the art equipment and materials.

This OTF's Process Engineering Internship positions is a Year-Round, on-campus opportunity. Interns who will work part time (15-31 hours/week) during the school year and full time (40 hours/week) in the summer, onsite at the Ocotillo Campus. Hybrid/virtual work schedules are not permitted.

Ideally, candidates must be able to start this position in August, attending 2 weeks of onboarding training (full time) and then moving to part time once the school semester starts. Candidates will not work more than 31 hours during the school semester.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

+ Must possess and maintain a 3.0 min GPA to qualify for an internship

+ Must maintain full-time student status during internship (minimum 12 credit hours /semester)

This role will require an on-site presence.

Structural welder working on large mining machines. Welders will be working inside of a large bay (swamp cooled) repairing huge mining excavators. Welders will be repairing structural flaws in equipment that happen through normal wear and tear of equipment use. Will be welding AR400 and AR500 steel one day and softer steel the next day. Could spend time gouging out welds. Will be using fabricating skills on a daily basis, reading prints and shop drawings and expected to communicate well with peers and supervisors.

+ Knowledgeable in the use of common metal fabrication equipment i.e.: rollers, man lifts, telehandlers, jacks, come along, porta power, dolly, crane, press brake, etc.

+ Working knowledge of OSHA regulations

+ Required to possess a valid driver's license and legally be able to operate a company vehicle.

+ Required to pass a preemployment drug screening.

Job Summary

The Fabrication and Print Estimator will report directly to the Solutions Group Manager. The Fabrication and Print Estimator must be qualified to read architectural plans, interpret renderings, drawings, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate signage estimates, bids, and quotes.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Review, interpret, process takeoffs from architectural drawings and or concept drawings, renders or sketches, to accurately determine material and labor costs.

Ferguson is seeking a Fabrication Associate to join our team!

**Schedule: M-F 5am-1:30pm**

**Responsibilities:**

+ Setup and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication

+ Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe length

+ Measure and cut pipe with band saw and/or torch, rolling and grooving single and double random lengths and threading and beveling of pipe with landis machines

+ Move loose and /or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard

+ Assemble pipe orders whether in single sticks or bundles and maintain work supplies in an organized manner

+ Observe vital safety precautions for fabrications, cutting, assembling, stacking and shipping of pipe for storage and transportation

+ Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures

**Qualifications:**

+ Prior Fabrication experience is preferred

+ Outstanding math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand

+ Experience and training in operating machinery for the use of cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations preferred

+ Ability to remain results-focused in the fast-paced customer service environment

**Job Title** Welder

**Job Summary**

Use a universal welder to make cuts and welds on steel pipe.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

• Read blueprints and drawings

• Take measurements to plan layouts

• Set up welding machine according to specifications

• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions

• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

• Test all machine welds to ensure quality

• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test

• Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

• 1 plus years of welding experience

• Read a tape measure

• Pipe welding and welding certificates a plus

• Be dependable

• Good attendance and a positive attitude are critical for this position

• Good work ethic and a willingness to learn

• Must be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written form

• Must be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed).

• Must be 18 years or older

• Attention to detail

• Ability to follow directions and communicate with others

• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shifts

• Ability to pass a drug test
