As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. **What you'll do:**
+ Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
+ Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
+ Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
+ Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
+ Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
+ Other duties assigned as needed
**Requirements:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
+ 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
+ Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
+ Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
+ Must own tools applicable to position
+ Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
+ Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Our HUBwest Garage has an opening for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic.
The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 1:30PM - 10:00PM
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Completion of one of the following:
+ Completed a qualified Journeyman Mechanic Apprenticeship Program; an Automotive AAS degree from a community college or have graduated from a Certified Automotive Technical School, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the trade
+ If no formal training: candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the trade.
Applicants must have at least a Class A CDL permit at the time of application and a clean driving record.
+ If the applicant is awarded the position and hold a CDL Permit, they must obtain a valid Class A CDL license (for manual transmission with no mechanical restrictions (i.e., airbrakes)) prior to their official transfer/start date.
+ If the applicant is awarded the position and holds an out-of-state CDL, they must obtain a valid Arizona Class A CDL license (for manual transmission with no mechanical restrictions (i.e., airbrakes)) within 30 days of their official transfer/start date.

Things You’ll Do
+ Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks.
+ Perform inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that need repair or replacement .
+ Troubleshoot and repair engine fault codes using diagnostic equipment and tools.
Requirements
+ Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
+ Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction industry.
+ Certification from a diesel mechanic program or equivalent experience is preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Wash and detail vehicles manually or using automated equipment; fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles properly while adhering to all shop safety policies and procedures; record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation; this includes using hand held devices to properly identify customer and required services
+ Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures; this includes checking vehicle tire pressure and thread, fluid levels, lights, washing vehicle windows, changing tires, inspecting refrigeration units on trucks, and reporting service or driver issues to shop
+ Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance; perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor
