**What You Will Do**

+ Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization; may mentor or train other electrical workers

+ Safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction

+ Perform preventative maintenance including installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrical electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)

+ Must have strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, management control systems, calibration of field transmitters/transducers and weigh scales, and low and medium voltage equipment

+ Ability to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards

+ Follow Standard Operating Procedues (SOP) and work area instructions, participate in safety and environmental activities, and use plant and equipment correctly at all times

**What You Bring To Freeport**

+ Completion of an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program, **OR**

+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance, **OR**

+ Associate's degree or Trade School Certification in a related field **and ** two (2) years of experience in Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation repair and maintenance

+ Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment; this includes the ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company

+ Must have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire date

+ Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Summary This position is located in Grand Canyon National Park, in the Facility Management Division. Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment. Responsibilities Major Duties: Determine the proper and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems equipment and controls. Plan and lay out the routing, placement, type and size of wire. Perform all preventative maintenance, operational checks, repair, layout, installation, troubleshooting, tracing, modification on all new and existing electrical systems park wide, electrical generators and fire suppression systems park wide. Apply the National Electric Code (NEC) to projects in order to select the correct materials and methods for an installation or repair. Install, maintains and repairs electric motors, pumps, control wiring, relays and starters, particularly those units required for sewer treatment plant operation, water systems, and HVAC. Area Information: This position is stationed at Grand Canyon National Park at the South Rim located in Northern Arizona. The South Rim is located approximately 60 miles north of Williams and 82 miles Northwest of Flagstaff at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Temperatures range from approximately 90 degrees in the summer to 0 degrees in the winter. Annual precipitation averages around 13 inches. Grand Canyon Village has schools K-12, a daycare center, post office, general store, churches, a recreation center with gym, a public library, a clinic with resident physicians, and several restaurants. The park community consists of some 2,500 people, including employees of the NPS and concessionaires and their family members. There are often employment opportunities for family members in the park and surrounding areas. The park community is small enough that many employees choose to walk or bike from their homes to work. Complete shopping, educational, medical and professional services are available in Williams and Flagstaff. Flagstaff has a population of about 66,000 and has multiple K-12 public and private schools, Northern Arizona University, and diverse community, medical and other support services. Recreational opportunities include hiking, backpacking, fishing, cross-country and downhill skiing, and golfing in nearby communities. This work includes, but is not limited to installing or replacing: deep cycle batteries for solar systems; generators in remote areas using hoists and bars; boiler components in basements; motors and fan coil components in lofts and attics and aerators and other large equipment from sewage treatment ponds and facilities. The incumbent will be required to work in cramped areas such as attics, crawl spaces and ventilation shafts which require crawling to install, troubleshoot or repair electrical components. The incumbent may be exposed to electrical shock, spark and arc hazard and health hazards in sewer treatment plants. Working Conditions: The incumbent works outside in all types of weather; often works inside in dusty, dirty arid occasionally greasy locations where there is a possibility of cuts and bruises. Documentation for the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) eligibility, submission of ALL SF-50s and performance information for each period of temporary/term employment that qualifies for LMWFA. Performance documentation can be obtained by contacting the supervisors for the positions you served in during your 24 months. If they did not complete performance appraisals ask them to provide a statement of performance for each period of service. The statement must specify the dates for each employment period and your level of performance (dates should match the dates on the SF-50s).

**Qualifications**

Previous manufacturing experience a plus.

**Master Tech II -** **E** **ducation and/or Experience** :

+ Bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field or diploma in mechanical or electrical technology preferred.

+ Two years electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience on similar equipment Preferred.

+ Experience with Electrical Schematics, Electrical components and electrical theories highly preferred.

+ Extensive training and thorough understanding and operation of PLC.

**Compensation Statement**

Salary: $75,900 - $90,000 / annually with great benefits. 80%

We are seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our team as the Lead Electrician. In this role, you will take the lead on electrical projects, provide estimates and takeoffs, and bring your expertise in handling electrical panel swaps and upgrades.

Job Description:

As a Master Electrician / Lead Electrician you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing electrical projects, estimating costs, and executing electrical panel swaps and upgrades. Your expertise and leadership will be essential to ensure the successful completion of projects and maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead Electrical Projects:

+ Take a leadership role in electrical projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and timelines.

+ Estimating and Takeoffs:

+ Prepare accurate project estimates, considering materials, labor, and equipment costs.

+ Electrical Panel Swaps and Upgrades:

+ Demonstrate expertise in handling electrical panel swaps and upgrades for residential and commercial clients.

+ Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.

+ Client Communication:

+ Interact with clients to understand project requirements, provide quotes, and address any inquiries.

+ Maintain clear and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Safety and Quality Assurance:

+ Enforce strict safety measures and best practices to protect team members and ensure project quality.

+ Conduct regular quality inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.

+ Documentation and Reporting:

+ Maintain accurate project documentation, including estimates, takeoffs, change orders, and progress reports.

+ Generate detailed reports to track project costs, progress, and deviations from estimates.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Master Electrician / Lead Electrician.

+ Proficiency in estimating, material takeoffs, and project management.

As aJourneyman Electricianyou will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will mentor and develop Apprentice Electricians as well as promote the core values of FSG through excellent customer service and assuring the safety of all work.

AJourneyman Electricianwill:

+ Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.

+ Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.

+ Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

+ Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels; installs Buss, Busbar, electrical feeders, power systems and/or switchgear.

+ Repairs faulty equipment or systems.

+ Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.

+ Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

+ Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.

+ Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As anApprenticeElectricianyou will work under the guidance of a Journeyman level electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate will be working towards a career in the trade with Facility Solutions Group.

AnApprentice Electricianwill:

+ Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site.

+ Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.

+ Trace out short circuits in wiring.

+ Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.

+ Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.

+ Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

+ Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas.

+ Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.

+ Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.

+ May operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician.

+ Assists in mounting and strapping conduit.

+ Assists more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.

+ Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.

+ An apprentice electrician will not work on energized circuits or equipment.
