**THE ROLE** **:** The **Field Service Technician** will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, and repairing pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in a Xylem Service Center, Customer job site or via phone. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

+ Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental.

+ Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.

+ Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.

+ Assist customer and/or Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on customer job sites as needed. Assist in the performance of start-up duties and ensure any problems are resolved.

+ Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.

+ Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment.

+ Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.

+ Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours.

+ Perform related duties as assigned.

+ Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

**Minimum Qualifications** : Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

+ 3-5 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

+ Valid driver’s license with good driving record

+ Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

+ Commercial Driver License B - Preferred

+ Diagnosing basic mechanical problems

+ Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.

+ Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices

+ General DC electric and circuit testing skills

+ General diesel engine component location and identification

**DAY IN THE LIFE** **:**

In this role, the working environment may be frequently outdoors, weather extremities, use of PPE, exposures to hazardous material, loud noise, etc. and the physical demands may include but not limited to {regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs. In addition, this role may require frequent travel to customer sites and on-call as a regular part of the job.

Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours.

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. **Required Qualifications:**

+ Have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).

+ Must have some knowledge and experience repairing equipment but does not need to be a journeyman technician.

+ Good working knowledge of Crushing equipment, components, and systems.

+ Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safe with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining dealership expectations of thoroughness and customer service.

+ Have the ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain MSHA clearances.

Summary The Nursing Specialty Service line located at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), is currently recruiting for a Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer). MIT's perform procedures and examinations on patients as a clinical or research service to physicians. The service relates to the treatment of particular patients, or it involves providing the physician with technical information used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Identifies and record anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant condition from ultrasound imaging and simultaneous recordings of the Doppler. Changes and develop sounding techniques to accommodate such variables as limited patient mobility, variation in physical condition or dimension of the patient. Interacts with patients explaining procedures and positioning and prepping the patient for procedure. Produces diagnostic quality images and Doppler frequency recordings using M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler ultrasound. Administers contrast when required for image quality per protocol. Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding patient monitoring equipment, patient positioning and comfort, peripheral venous access, and proper handling of lab specimens. Ensures proper performance of equipment, set up equipment, and reprocess reusable medical equipment (RME). Identifies and record anomalies indicative of disease, injury or other medically significant condition from ultrasound imaging and simultaneous recordings of Doppler imaging. Incorporates causes and results of a variety of symptoms and conditions into a plan of ultrasonic diagnostic examination. Reviews appointments for accuracy and communicate issues to multidisciplinary team and/or Clinical Nurse Manager. **What You Will Do**

+ Laying out, laying up, and fabricating composite parts, assembling, disassembling, installing, modifying, and inspecting complex and precision electronic, optical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, hydro-mechanical, mechanical production assemblies, prepare surfaces, applies coating and performs coating-related processes.

+ Performs electrical and mechanical in process checks, analysis, and rework of complex and precision parts and assemblies, making wiring, continuity, and component checks that utilize the knowledge of electronic theory and circuit analysis.

+ Prepares, fabricates, bonds, and assembles various composite parts.

+ Utilizes various fabrication technologies.

+ May be required to manufacture and assemble developmental and engineering prototype hardware (when necessary).

+ Sets up, adjusts, and operates, all types of complex assembly machines and equipment, micro equipment as required in assembly, fabrication, test, and inspection of micro electronic circuit assemblies.

+ Must pass Manufacturing Technician Skills and Solder Assessments per Skills Assessment Guide after hire.

+ All Candidates must pass the vision requirements to be eligible for this occupation.

**Qualifications You Must Have**

+ High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)

+ Must be able to work any designated shift to include overnight.

+ One (1) year experience including at least 3 of the following in a manufacturing environment:

+ Performing work from schematics, drawings, work instructions, planning.

+ Performing basic solder operations

+ Installing, assembling, modifying; electronic and/or electromechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment.

+ Process operations of metal, plastics, and/or composites performing such duties as: decaling, masking, sanding, stenciling, chemical cleaning, bonding, mixing of bonding, and/or paint materials.

+ Must pass qualifying and/or practical test.

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

+ The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
