**GENERAL PURPOSE** :

The Technician is responsible for data collection and assists in the development of engineered methods and standards in a high\-volume mechanized distribution and logistics operation\.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** :

• Collects and assists in development of effective methods and procedures for Distribution Center floor operations\. Identifies and evaluates improvements in methods, procedures, and workflow that increase productivity, and decrease operating cost\.

• Collects records and summarizes time study and work sampling data to support development of engineered labor standards\.

• Assists with implementation of engineered methods, standards, and reporting systems \- including assistance and follow\-up on training and troubleshooting reporting problems\.

**POSITION SUMMARY**

The Design Engineer II performs complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.

**What you’ll do:**

+ Performs more complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems. Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.

+ Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating.

+ Manages a single phase of a project.

+ Provides guidance to less experienced engineers.

+ Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support design of project.

**What you’ll need to be successful:**

+ 3-4 years’ experience.

+ In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.

+ Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.

In the hardware testing role, you will work closely with a small team conducting controlled scenario and real world testing of the radar sensor. The team is provided with a proposed test plan. All observations and changes to the test plan must be clearly documented and communicated back to the engineering team. **Overview**

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Electrical practice in Mesa, AZ!

**Responsibilities**

+ Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, transportation, aviation, and industrial projects

+ Responsible for the review and development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams

+ Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices

+ Prepare project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the lcoal market and across the country

+ Leadership responsibilities include:

+ Operating with integrity and sound business principals

+ Providing vision, business planning and strategy

+ Building and maintaining positive client relationships

+ Having open communication with your partners and team

+ Growing and leading an Electrical practice

**Qualifications**

+ 8+ years of relevant experience managing Electrical projects

+ Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

+ Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE and ANSI Standards

+ Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization

+ Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner

+ Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Lead the preparation of the project scope definition and objectives according to the assigned project type and complexity

+ Prepare overall project schedule based on scope of work and work plan

+ Track & perform project deliverables against contract in order to meet commitments & timeframe

+ Provide consistent project updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

+ Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating deliverables

+ Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

+ Drive team to succeed by monitoring progress and direct adjustments as needed

+ Assist with onsite product operation during substantial completion testing and other certifications.

+ Develop technical and commercial solutions to support the Energy solutions sales team. This includes gathering field requirements from customers:

+ Listen, understand and convey customer requirements;

+ Create online diagrams, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for MV & LV switchgear, motor control centers, and power distribution centers (PDC);

+ Provide technical support for the integration of Generac products with third party supplied equipment (Building Management, Transfer Switch/Switchgear, Energy Management, and Utility protection relays).

+ Provide technical input and design feedback to engineering during new product introduction.

+ Provide feedback from the field to Service, Engineering and Manufacturing, regarding product issues and potential design improvements.

+ Point of contact between Industrial Solutions and Service to drive involvement of Field Service Engineers & dealer network as required.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

+ 10 years of relevant experience in power generation equipment installation and operations

+ Willingness to travel domestic 25% to 50% of the time

+ Prior experience with the tools and terminology using in basic project management tasks (SOW, Gantt, RASIC, etc.)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience and sound knowledge of power generation products, installations, and applications

+ Certification as a Project Management Professional or similar professional training in project management tools

+ Experienced in Electronics or Electromechanical Technology

+ Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

**Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:**

+ Demonstrated knowledge of project management skills, tools, and techniques
