The **Lead Engineer – Fire** is responsible for leading the fire detection engineering design team for a major project in delivering the engineering outcomes related to fire detection systems across the entire project.
+ Delivery of the engineering outcomes from initial design through to final certification in accordance with all contracted documents and referenced standards
+ Provide technical direction to project team members
+ Coordinating the input of numerous key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Engineering, Project Management through to customer and head contractor representatives
+ Facilitate the review and approval of fire detection system engineering and technical designs and related documentation
+ Ensure fire safety designs and systems adhere to relevant building codes, and regulations
**Key Experience & Capabilities:**
+ Degree qualifications in engineering or a related discipline from an Australian University or equivalent. (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics)
+ 10+ years of experience in fire detection and alarm system design with extensive on-site knowledge
+ Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of fire detection and alarm projects
+ Experience in interacting with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external, while successfully delivering major projects
+ Fire Systems Design (FSD) accreditation from the Fire Protection Association of Australia (FPAA)
