**Required Skills:**

Software Engineer (Systems) Responsibilities:

1. Build new features and improve existing products.

2. Work on problems of diverse scope and design core, backend software components.

3. Receiving little instruction on day-to-day work, code using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP and Hack.

4. Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.

5. Conduct design and code reviews.

6. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

7. Complete medium to large features (each with many tasks) independently without guidance.

8. Identify and drive changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area and/or systems.

9. Telecommuting is permitted anywhere in the U.S.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Minimum Qualifications:

10. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Foreign equivalent accepted.

11. Experience must include 36 months involving each of the following:

12. 1. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#

13. 2. Designing and completing medium to large features independently without guidance

14. 3. Owning a particular component, feature, or system

15. 4. Python, PHP, or Haskell

16. 5. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

17. 6. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting

18. 7. Building highly-scalable performant solutions

19. 8. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction, and

20. 9. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems

$181,272/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
